About the Artist

A little about me:

I figure most people who are coming here are looking for my art or already know me, so for the most part I'm only going to put a short bit, and will put current updates here from time to time.

I'm a bit of a wanderer.  I went into the military right out high school, I'm still not sure I knew my reasons that well then. From there I got out of the military Aug 2001, and got home the weekend before sept 11, 2001. I had plans to work at several companies that fell apart in the wake of that tragedy. So I spent time figuring out what I wanted to do with my life.

I ended working with computers, something I learned by trial and error mostly. I completed a degree at chubb in 2002, then went though Ocean County College to get my AS in IT. When I looked at the courses I ended up working with the colleges to edit the degree to suit what I wanted out of the school, so I have a lot of funny letters to explain that I took a bunch of hard courses to meet state requirements, and since the state reqs changed as I was working through the degree I got to take a bunch of course I would never have chosen to take otherwise. I figure at the end of the day you don't really lose anything by learning more but time. So my degree is an AS.GE.CS.CSTT, CPE.GENERAL basically an applied science degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Gen ED, with a focus in Programming, Databases, Photoshop, Web Site Design, with education and accounting courses throw in for some reason.I worked for about six different staffing agencies at the same time so life was hectic.

From there I went through Full Sail University as they were transitioning from a trade school that just started offering BS degrees to a full blown University.

I worked for a start-up instead of taking an internship in Hawaii or waited for a better job. When VXFS finally fell apart I was stuck in LA without the next mouths rent after being told before xmas they had money for the rest of the year. Needless to say I did what I could with the time frame, and hooked up with MPS a company I had looked into years ago. They seemed like they had there act together until I spent months trying to find a job to support what was clearly a hobby. I finally cut ties when I sick of the rules changing. I interviewed it was a paying job if you lived on site, when I went up there you had to sign away anything you did on site and had to live in a barracks / dormitory. I could live with that but not changing rules as I was told that everyone was earning stock, which sound fair to me, later it became options and since they were planning on giving seats to the guys who had been screwing around for ten years it means they mean to give preferred stock to the people who have been there the longest and force those doing the work once the company goes public nothing but options which you have to buy. I was willing to help them and ignore the money issue but I decided to throw away any options I hold since they are too demanding on my time requiring weekends that you have to show up for while I am looking for paying work.

I started an internship with Zoic Studios in January of 2010 and had a blast working for a real company. I will see what the future holds as the internship ended in may.

                                                          later all,
